Bill of materials #

The BOM is available here

Versions #

Current Version is 20221105: I replaced the D_Frame Rear Traverse.stl to remove the screw holes.

Version is 20221015: I replaced the 2x D_Rear Brake Part2.stl. If you downloaded a previous version, you can download the new brake file here

Version is 20221012: I added the tires in one part so you have the choice between two parts tires or one part tires. If you downloaded a previous version, you can get the one part tires here

Version 20221009: Had an extra file not required. If you have that package, delete the file called “Body Lower Hood.stl”

Warning #

There is a lot of small parts. These are fragile and you will break some. This is a show model not a toy for kids.

Fixes #

In this sections, will be listed the available fixes that are not included in the zip archives you may have downloaded.

There is no current fixes for this project.

Printer Calibration #

It is imperative that your printer is well calibrated. The bearing should be a press fit and removed just by pushing on it. It should not drop out or require undue force to install in the calibration part.

You should calibrate your printer for every roll of filament, even for the same brand and color. If you need help to calibrate your printer see this resource: “Teaching Tech 3D Printer Calibration”

Here’s my procedure when I open a new roll of filament.

Frame #

Printed parts required in this step

  • D_Frame bar left
  • D_Frame bar right
  • D_Frame ring front
  • D_Frame ring middle
  • D_Frame ring back
  • D_Frame front traverse
  • D_Frame left front
  • D_Frame left rear
  • D_Frame rear traverse
  • D_Frame right front
  • D_Frame right rear
  • Seat
  • Body Driver lower

Front suspension #

Printed parts required in this step

  • 2x D_Front axle
  • D_Front brake left part 1
  • D_Front brake left part 2
  • D_Front brake right part 1
  • D_Front brake right part 2
  • D_Front suspension lower arm left
  • D_Front suspension lower arm right
  • 2x D_Front suspension upper arm
  • D_Front leaf spring

Rear Suspension #

Printed parts required in this step

  • D_Rear axle part 1
  • D_Rear axle part 2
  • D_Rear axle part 3
  • D_Rear axle shaft
  • 2x D_rear side link long
  • 2x D_rear side link short
  • D_Leaf Spring Rear
  • 2x D_Rear Brake part 1
  • 2x D_Rear Brake part 2

Gas tank and rear Body #

You will need to apply a bit of force to slide the body over the gas tank where the gas cap goes in.

Printed parts required in this step

  • Gas Tank
  • Gas Cap
  • Body Back

Body Front #

Install body front first, then slide the steering link in the hole.

Printed parts required in this step

  • Steering link
  • Body Front
  • Body Grill
  • Cover handle

Body Driver #

Use the Windshield Glass as a template to cut the piece of plastic you want to use for glass

Printed parts required in this step

  • Body Driver Upper
  • Steering
  • Steering Support
  • Steering Wood Back
  • Steering Wood Front
  • 4x Small Dash Indicator
  • Large dash indicator
  • Windshield Structure
  • Windshield Glass
  • Cover handle

Motor #

Printed parts required in this step

  • Engine block
  • Engine Carburators
  • Engine Cover left
  • Engine Cover right
  • Engine front
  • Engine side left
  • Engine side right

Hood #

If you got the first package dated 20221009, there is an extra file that you do not need. If you see Body Lower Hood.stl, please delete it as this is not the proper file.

Use glue for the hood brackets

Printed parts required in this step

  • Body Hood Lower
  • Body Hood Upper
  • 6x Hood Bracket

Exhaust system #

Printed parts required in this step

  • Exhaust Motor side Left
  • Exhaust Motor side Right
  • Exhaust tail pipe Left
  • Exhaust tail pipe Right

Wheels #

You have the choice between a two part tire or a one part tire. I think that for display, the two part tires is easier to print and will provide better results. But if you want to print in TPU and want to have a soft tire, the one part will be better.

Printed parts required in this step

  • 2x D_Front Wheel back
  • 2x D_Front wheel front
  • 2x D_Tire front part 1
  • 2x D_Tire front part 2
  • or 2x D_Tire front one part
  • 2x D_Rear Wheel back
  • 2x D_Rear wheel front
  • 2x D_Tire Rear part 1
  • 2x D_Tire Rear part 2
  • or 2x D_Tire Rear One part
  • 4x D_Wheel nut cover
