Part orientation #

When I release a file, the STL is always oriented to be in the best position on the printer’s bed.

Supports #

I use Prusaslicer, so the terms here are related to prusaslicer. I’m certain other slicer have similar settings but probably with different names. You will have to figure it out for your slicer.

Here are the modifications I make to prusaslicer default support settings in the Print Setting tab.

  • Contact Z Distance: 0.25
  • Pattern spacing: 3mm
  • Interface Layers: 4
  • XY Separation between: 75%
Removing supports #

With these settings I have no problem removing the supports front the part.

If you have problems removing supports, one thing you can do is let your part soak in hot tap water. It should be easier to remove. But again, check your settings and try to mimic what you see in the previous section.
