T&A: FERRARI/VANWALL Printing Notes

You will need a printer with a bed that can print 220mm on X or Y axis.

I use Prusaslicer. If you use something else, you will need to adapt your settings.

Check my general print settings here

In the table bellow you will find my printing settings for each part.

Print Profile list my settings for each part providing the layer height, the infill and the number of perimeter. For example .2mm 20% 2p means

  • .2mm = Layer Height
  • 20% = infill
  • 2p = numbers of perimeter

Filament Type is the type of filament you should use for that given part. Here is the legend used in that column

  • 85A – TPU with a Shore Hardness of 85A – Recommended Ninjatek NinjaFlex. This is for the tires and TPU front bumpers.
  • 70D – TPU with a Shore Hardness of 70D – Recommended Ninjatek Armadillo. This is tough TPU for the wheels.
  • YC – Your Choice. There are plenty of filaments type out there that you may choose to print the body and chassis whether it’s PLA, PETG, ABS, PC and so on. Use what you feel will give the best results with your setup. Some filament type require special equipment, ventilation and so on. Use what you are comfortable with.

Grams Needed is the total filament required in grams to print that part.

Time is as you guessed it the time my slicer thinks it will take

Support is the support configuration I use

Orientation. I provide the files in what I believe is the best printing orientation. Feel free to experiment better ways to print these parts. Feel free to share your settings in our Facebook group.

Print Settings:

  • For 85A and 70D TPU: Print slowly. Max speed 25mm/s. I use Elmer glue stick on my PEI BED. You can also use 3D LAC. Check the recommended Nozzle and Bed temperature from the filament manufacturer.

I’m using more and more a 0.6mm nozzle. It prints faster. In this document I’m using a 0.4mm for reference.
